To Create Or Not Create? That Is The Question

To Create Or Not Create? That Is The Question

I know I’m always talking about creating content. Sharing your story. Building your brand etc.

I don’t know about you but every day feels like an obstacle course that I keep hitting my shin on. It’s exhausting.

If you’re a multi-hypenate, a founder, a full-timer, or doing all it at the same time sometimes creating content is the absolute last thing you want to do.

Arrrggghhh!

I’m completely honest with all 36 of you. This is a safe space. As of late, creating content has felt laborious.

I’ve been a content creator for over 10-years at times posting seven days a week.

Now that I’m a founder, navigating current moments of life that are overwhelming and sapping my creativity.

Who wants to create content that is engaging, helpful, and timely. Listen, when things get real, who GAF-respectfully.

The power of content can drive not only your reach but your revenue too. So missing a few days might not be so bad, but taking a month or two off can potentially can throttle your sales funnel.

Nothing we do is ever wasteful that includes creating engaging content. However, if you’re not in the mental space to do so.

Take a break. Give Yourself grace and ask for help.

If you’re feeling like your content feels forced or uninspiring. You might be on a one trip to burnout.

NOT good. If you’re feeling overwhelmed with being responsible for everything including your business and life…take a break. Also, maybe seek a professional to talk to that’s not a friend or family.

I am not a parent, but I have friends and family member who are. If they have children 12-years or older I always say ask your child to help you film or even brainstorm ideas.

They are naturals when it comes to using smart phones and typically know all the tricks to creating content without over thinking.

If you’re a beautiful, smart, single woman like me. See what I did there lol!

I create bulk content then schedule a time or post the content, then I give myself 30 minutes to an hour to engage with my community.

After that, I get back to the business of life. Social media can make you feel like you have to be on 24/7 but it doesn’t have to be.

Place guardrails and systems in place to protect your peace. There are no awards for creating the most pieces of content on a weekly or monthly basis.

You’re only competing with yourself.

If you take time away from creating it means you’re simply recharging your creative battery.

I’m certain you will come back with more ideas and clarity that will no doubt be more fulfilling than creating for creating sake.

The other thing is hiring a human to help you to either ghost write, film videos, or do it all for you.

If you have the budget…do it!

You can use that time to rest.

Take a much needed vacation.

Take care of your family.

See your friends

Play with your dog

Sleep

Or just do nothing (my fave)

I’m finding my restful routine that’s helping and you will get there too.

Also, we’re living in the world of AI. There are benefits to that. AI can help you with content strategy, creating your actual content—I know this can be problematic. But it can help with structure and clarity, then you go in and rewrite.

Also, Ai content creation tools are the absolute best for editing your videos for accuracy, time, and virality
